Happily Paired also known as Happily Married or even Bem-Casados (in Portuguese) are traditional Brazilian treats that are served at weddings, bridal and baby showers or any other special occasion. In English, the name means ‘well married’ because the legend says that this wedding treat represents the couple’s union & commitment and also the promise of a life with luck and happiness.

Brigadeiros come in a number of different colours and flavours: they are little balls, almost truffle-like and a little light fudge in consistency, made by hand with swiss cocoa, condensed milk and double cream.

They were first created back in the 1940s and vary in offerings, from milk chocolate to dark, milk and white, white, Ovaltine, biscuit, Oreo, pistachio, walnut, lemon, coconut, dulce de leche, peanut and hazelnut (their newest flavour!).

They’re decadent and moreish and within a few months of launching to the UK, has garnered a fiercely loyal following.

BGUK Almond Biscuits

Soft and flavoursome, this is our perfect-for-any-occasion handmade almond biscuit filled with brigadeiro. The BGUK almond biscuits are a cross between cake and biscuits and an actual dream when joined to our most loved milk chocolate or dark chocolate brigadeiro flavours.

This product is gluten-free. However, we produce & bake cakes, cookies & brownies (products with gluten) in the same environment with risk of cross-contamination. If you are celiac, speak to BGUK’s team.
